How to look up a manufacturing date

... for a of a Mauser  - Mod. 98 - byf 44 - ser: 8527  I read that this is possible.


from info gathered on the web,  byf: Mauser - Werke, A.-G., Oberndorf a./N.  location,   44 is 1944,  8527  early in the year.


All metal parts originals baring same numbers, Waffenampt,
