Mauser 98 production stamps

I just purchased a sporterized Mauser with most ID marks ground off.The only remaining marks are pictured below. Can anyone help in identifying the rifle?Thank you.

This is the stamp on the trigger guard.

Maltese cross or Cross of Santiago indicative of Spanish Mauser?
