Another question

I am not getting any responses, let alone answers, to my questions - but, I shall try again!!

On a M1910/1914 (6.35) the slide will not stay back when I have the magazine in place.  Could this be because I have an 8 round instead of a 9 round magazine???

It could be because of an aftermarket magazine, it could be assembled wrong or missing parts. There are to many possibalities to trouble shoot gunsmith problems on a forum and the magazine catch varies and is hard to find. You can make one from a .32 catch but the top opreates the hold open and may not work properly. You are not getting responces because there aren't simple answers. Regards,
