mystery c96 returns

Just been told that this gun was from Taku Arsenal, and is a chinese copy.  It still has NO marks of any kind.  Anybody know anything about these guns?  My original post is entitled mystery c96, and has photos, you can see it below.

tm711, Please pardon my misidentification. It just goes to show you that, even with pictures you can't see all. The 3 digit number with no other markings should of been a clue that it could be Chinese. It appears it was well made and as I recall the Taku arsenal copies where one of the better Chinese copies. Other than that I cannot be very helpful. Chinese copies are a study by themselves and I have not taken that class.
