K98 rebarreling

Hey guys I'm new to this forum and iv got a odd question I have a Czech Mauser that is in 8mm and iv been looking at getting it redone to 30-06 I can get a 1903 Springfield barrel and I know the rifles are similar but can the 1903 barrel be put on my Czech Mauser. 8mm is virtually non exsistant here so 3006 is my next choice. Thanks in advance
