1914 Reference Recommendations
« on: July 08, 2018, 02:03:09 PM »

I am currently working with a 1914 Serial 207369 and have markings that I am trying to identify. Are there any recommendations for specific reference material that will help to identify the serial number manufacture dates, variations and schematic differences, and marking identification meanings ? If I did it correct, there is a link to the marks on this particular pistol

Hello,
the two crowns over a U behind the rear sight are the commercial nitro or firing proofs. The other Markings are most likely worker marks or production marks done during the manufacturing process. 1914mauser can probably help with a production date. That is a little bit above my pay grade.

The pistol was made in 1920.
