Mauser New Model

Located a Mauser HSc that I am not familiar.  It is a Model 84 in 8mm.  It looks like a post war model, but I am not sure. Anyone have one of these?   I appreciate your input.

That is disappointing.   Not much of a firearm.  Thank you for the reply.

Interesting to note that during Peter's research there was some conjecture by others that no Model 84 was ever produced and that the photo shown above was a complete fabrication.  So your statement, Jim, of "not much of a firearm" could be very true since it might be just a "phantom firearm."
